About Healthy Happy Feet

At Healthy Happy Feet, we aim to give our clients world-class footcare services which combine beauty and health. Healthy Happy Feet is an aseptic cosmetic footcare spa that focuses on the cosmetic appearance and health of your feet. Our services extend to people who have diabetes, neuropathy, autoimmune diseases and more. Our staff is trained to detect the symptoms and provide services that are tailored to meet the needs of each customer. At our spa, we follow the highest standards of hygiene. For every client, we use new, sterilized equipment to protect their health.

At Healthy Happy Feet, we go the extra mile to ensure that our clients obtain the best possible care. This is why all of our team is required to obtain certifications that are above the standards required by the State authorities.

All of our technicians have the Advance Nail Technician (ANT) certification as a minimum. The ANT consists of 10 modules and focuses on instilling knowledge relating to the standards of health and hygiene that must be observed in a spa. It also involves a detailed study of the diseases and conditions that can be commonly found in the footcare industry. Additional education steps up our game another notch with the Medical Nail Technician, or (MNT) certification.

This certification combines an internship with a doctor to observe and an extremely intensive 10 module course. This allows them to understand what medical conditions and illnesses can affect the foot and the symptoms they display. This experience allows our trainees to have a deeper understanding foot health.

What is an Advanced Nail Technician?

An Advanced Nail Technician (ANT) is a licensed nail technician that has taken the initiative to expand on their education. This means our nail technicians have received training to safely provide cosmetic services for those with chronic health conditions such as Diabetes, Neuropathy, Auto-Immune conditions and more.

Because we care about our clients' safety and health!

Meet the Technician

My passion for footcare began with a general inspiration to look after people and provide them comfort and relief. When I was a teenager, I began doing my own manicures for a while before taking care of hair and nails for friends and family. I loved the smile on my friends' faces when they were genuinely relaxed by the services, I performed on them. As I grew up I moved in a different direction in my life working in offices with administrative positions till 2008 when life took a turn and began a new adventure in life.

In 2010, I was out of work. This pushed me to contemplate a new career path. It was at this point that I kept on coming back to my passion for working with people. January of 2011, I enrolled to earn my license in Cosmetology, life took another small turn, and I moved back to St Louis and reenrolled for classes later that year. I joined the Grabber School of Cosmetology to make a new career for myself. I immensely enjoyed my studies at this school and graduated in September of 2012. In addition to the numerous accolades, I earned during my studies, I also obtained my Missouri State License for Cosmetology All (CA).

My professional journey also started in 2012, when I took up a position at Regis Hair Salon at West County Mall, St. Louis. During my time here, I gained a lot of expertise and was advised by many people to start my own solo business. In 2013, I started to rent a booth and conducted my own business operations. However, my motto has always been to give the best possible services to my clients, and this requires more professional experience. This is why in March 2014, I accepted a much-coveted position with Morgan Ford Spas where my primary service focus was nails. I am glad that I took up this position since it gave me an insight into the spa industry.

In July 2017, I started my own business as Beautify Yourself, LLC where I continued to take care of hair clients when the service was removed from MFS. However, over time I started to realize that I had a passion for pedicures and the safety of our feet. Feet bear the burden of our bodies but are still overlooked by so many! I attended the Foot Forward Summits that were held in 2018 and 2019.

In 2019, I completed by Advanced Nail Technician (ANT) certification. This course allowed me to study footcare, foot-related diseases, and their treatments in detail. I then decided to pursue my passion even further and enrolled for the Medical Nail Technician (MNT) certification. This course gave me an even deeper understanding of the foot's anatomy, the chronic health conditions that affect them, and what is safe or not in a pedicure service. As a part of my MNT training, I also interned with a podiatrist for 40 hours and learned more about footcare from a medical perspective. In 2021, I changed the name of my business from Beautify Yourself to Healthy Happy Feet since it better reflects what I seek to provide to my clients.
